The diabolical strategy of a woman to avoid paying the N7 million she owed to her business partner has landed her in the police in the Ashanti region.
According to reports, Ms. Joyce Antwi loaned N7 million from her business partner to enable her to expand her business.
Her repayment term was set for April 2017. Instead of repaying the loan, Mrs. Joyce made arrangements to assassinate the lender.
Police say Mrs. Joyce Antwi hired an assassin to kill her business partner. Instead of paying the amount owed, she hired a man she thought was a killer for N365,000 to kill the trading partner.
Antwi paid an advance of N150,000 to the man and showed him the house of his trading partner. With a promise to pay off the balance as soon as the job was done. He then advised her to carry out the killing in the afternoon when her business partner's husband and children would not be home.
The hired "assassin" informed Mrs. Antwi to the police and was quickly arrested. It is said that she has admitted the crime in her statement of caution.
