Miss Africa Great Britain 2016/17, Sarah Jegede, is currently in Nigeria with her organization to carry out a charity project in Osun State, her home state. Every year, the reigning queen of Miss Africa Great Britain is required to travel to her home country to execute her charity mandate.
On Thursday, the 25th of May, Sarah paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the state of Osun, His Excellency Rauf Aregbesola. Also present were Miss Africa Director, Dele Onabowu, the Deputy Governor of the State of Osun, Otunba Grace Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, Adeline Sotinwa-Ike and 3-time commissioner, Honourable Doyin Ogunbiyi (Cedaroi Communications).
Sarah’s mission in Nigeria was to visit the students of St Mary’s Catholic School, Ilesha whom she had fundraised for in the UK. On Wednesday, the 24th of May, she met the students and donated stationery and school bags to the 200 elementary students of the school.
