    Confession Of How A Couple Drugged Friends' Wife Just To Avoid Paying Their Debt

    Obinna, 32, from Ogidi, Anambra state, admitted in his confessional statement to the police that he did so as a revenge on the commercial transaction between him and the victim 's husband, Kenneth.
    According to the father of two children, he collected the sum of N1.2 million from the victim's husband and when he was unable to pay, he planned to blackmail Kenneth by sexual assault his wife so he could forget the money.
    The rape victim and mother of four told our correspondent what transpired between her and the couple.
    She narrated that the couple moved to Lagos from Onitsha, Anambra State last year and moved to their complex and later became a friend of the family.
    She said her husband lent money to the suspect to import clothes and when her husband started demanding money, he planned to blackmail the family.
    The woman said that because they were friends of the family, when Obinna made a call to her husband to send her to the popular hotel in Egbeda, Alimosho area of Lagos to collect the money, however, did not suspect any dirty play.
    She said that when she arrived at the hotel and offered her a drink she drank and then became unconscious, she was taken to a room where Unclad was raped, raped by Obinna while his wife used her phone to record the act and then published In social media .
    Gistmania reported that Obinna Arthur and his wife, Chinyere Arthur, were arrested and charged in a Lagos court for their alleged involvement in the criminal act.
    The couple, who reside on Ogundipe Street in Santos Layout in Akowonjo, Lagos, lured the victim to the Greenland Hotel in Egbeda, where she was sexually assaulted.
    In the court of Ejigbo Magistrates where they were processed, they declared themselves innocent.
    The presiding magistrate, Mr. Akeem Fashola, granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties equal in amount.
    They were placed in pre-trial detention pending their bail.
    The matter was suspended until 15 May 2017.
