Another tragedy has happened to the family of former Nigerian coach Amodu Shaibu, as one of his sons died last Sunday. According to Segundo Oguns, a former janitor's assistant, said the boy, 12-year-old Suleman Shaibu, was a JSS 2 student at the Navy High School, Abeokuta.
He reportedly arrived in Lagos last Thursday on holidays, and his mother noticed that he did not look too well. He was taken to a hospital in Surulere the next day before spending Sunday and buried the same day. Amodu, his former national coach, died last year in June, just three days after another former Nigerian captain and trainer, Stephen Keshi.
