    "Don't Get Involved With Politics" Buratai Warns Soldiers

    In an official statement issued by Nigeria Army spokesman Sani Usman, a brigadier general on Tuesday, Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai has issued a stern warning to army officials to stay away from Politics and related political activities. Buratai said;

    But military sources revived that the Army's hierarchy was disturbed by rumors of a coup planned by junior officers.
    While speaking to a correspondent, a senior military official said that Buratai, a lieutenant general, had even raised the issue with interim President Yemi Osinbajo and promised to cut her off in the outbreak.
    The concern may have informed Buratai's decision to reorganize the notices of major military generals last week.
    Rumors have worsened following the recent illness of President Muhammadu Buhari, who saw him travel to London for treatment weeks after he spent more than 50 days in London for medical reasons.
