It has been revealed that the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, who was on Wednesday, suspended by the president, was also turned back in his attempt to visit Aso Rock.
We reported earlier that President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, 19th April 2017, suspended the director-general of Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayodele Oke and the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Engr. Babachir David Lawal.
According to an exclusive report by Punch newspaper, the suspended Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, betrayed his emotion as he made desperate attempts to enter the Presidential Villa, Abuja shortly after his suspension was announced, but was turned back.
"Oke made attempts to seek an audience shortly after his suspension with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo but was turned back.
"He made frantic efforts to avoid journalists. In the process, he was driven towards the Service Chiefs’ Gate from where he was turned back. He has since left the premises," the publication reported.
