Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr is reportedly being owed three-month salaries by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF).
Rohr last received a paycheck from the NFF in June and has not been paid any sum since then.
According to Score Nigeria, the NFF are doing all they can to make sure the coach is paid before Super Eagles 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon in September.
“Rohr has not been paid. That’s the truth, the whole truth. Rather he has merely received a promise he will be paid before the Cameroon matches,” a source is quoted to say by Score Nigeria.
Rohr’s salary which he received in June was the first payment he received from NFF’s partnership with energy firm Aiteo.
The NFF in April 2017 signed a five-year sponsorship deal worth N2.9b with Aiteo. Aiteo as the ‘official optimum partners’ of the NFF will pay salaries of Rohr and other national team coaches for five years.
In June, Aiteo provided N100m which was used to pay Rohr and other national team coaches for the month.
