Manchester United have confirmed the signing of young goalkeeper Theo Richardson from Championship side Leeds United.
The 18-year-old impressed on trial at Red Devil towards the end of last season and has done enough to earn himself a permanent deal at the Old Trafford.
The youngster impressed on his debut in the mini Manchester derby at the Etihad in March, making a series of stunning saves to help the Red Devils secure a 2-2 draw, and is likely to be included in the Red Devils’ UEFA youth league squad.
He was one of four goalkeepers who traveled to Austria for a joint training camp with the U18s and U23s along with Kieran O'Hara, Max Johnstone, and Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui.
Manchester United have made a renewed effort in the last 18 months to bolster their Academy and recently signed the likes of PSG ace Aliou Badara Traore.
Richardson, who joins United having previously been with Leeds, will compete with the likes of Kieran O’Hara and Dean Henderson for a starting berth.
Jose Mourinho’s made two additions to his first team squad so far this summer with Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku joining for a combined £105m.
